At a glance, Lucid Doodle appears simply as a white surfaced table. However, within it lies a configured system of LED strips, which are controlled through a Processing-based graphical user interface (Java library). By combining the use of Processing and Arduino, Lucid Doodle allows users to draw different shapes and patterns through the power of light. Additionally, the table features different color modes, such as rainbow mode, which cycles the table’s surface through a display of colorful lights. This project serves as a strong foundation, however, I hope to improve on it in the future by upgrading certain elements, such as its size and the level of human interaction.
